It was definitely a gorgeous Sydney summer day when I met up with the Arthritis NSW team to shoot the cover of the latest Arthritis Matters Magazine. The location was one of my favorites - Balmoral Beach. The issue is all about Traveling With Arthritis. It covers a range of information including Holiday Travel Tips, How to Pack, Flying overseas, and Sleep Secrets.
I met up with the beautiful Anna-Louise Bouvier for the cover shot and she naturally fell into the shoot. She is just gorgeous and filled with bright light, energy, and of course beauty!
Looking forward to the next shoot and wishing...
"There are some parts of the world that, once visited, get into your heart and won't go. For me, India is such a place. When I first visited, I was stunned by the richness of the land, by its lush beauty and exotic architecture, by its ability to overload the senses with the pure, concentrated intensity of its colors, smells, tastes, and sounds... I had been seeing the world in black & white and, when brought face-to-face with India, experienced everything re-rendered in brilliant technicolor." ~ Keith Bellows, National Geographic Society
My close friend recently got married in India...
One of my absolute favorite things about living in Sydney is Bondi Beach and more specifically the Bondi to Bronte Beach Cliff walk. It is one of the first experiences that I had when first arriving to Australia and will forever be engrained in my heart. It is breathtaking and completely sums up Sydney lifestyle within steps of embarking on the walk. Fresh ocean wind whips through your hair, deep Pacific blue carries your eyes as far as they can see, gorgeous cliffs surround you, breathtaking views of Bondi, Tamarama, and Bronte transport you to a world of surfing, swimming, and absolute beach...
A dream of mine has always been to cycle through the rice paddy fields of Bali. I used to be able to close my eyes and imagine the feeling of the wind rushing across my body and the warm sun shining on my face and now I have memories of that exact experience in Bali! One word - Priceless.
For the traveler who likes to get amongst it and get 'off the beaten path' look no further. The Eco & Educational Bicycle Tour centered around Ubud is a truly unique and refreshing experience. Who wouldn't want to hop on a bike and cycle down hill through rural Balinese villages and surrounded by lush green...
Next stop for travel photography - Mandala Desa outside of Ubud. Travel photography comes to life in complete immersion and away from the hustle and bustle of tourist destinations. Mandala Desa is an absolute retreat that allows for you to relax, reset, and create some of the much sought after rice paddy experiences.
I absolutely love the location and was holding my breath as we pulled into the villa. The villa is outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud and each day that we spent away from Mandala Desa, we loved returning and stepping foot back to our tranquil villa. This special spot is for travelers...
If you are looking for a travel destination that will enliven your senses and regain your 'taksu' or spirit, head to Bali!
I recently had the amazing experience of doing travel photography work for two amazing destinations. First stop was a luxurious villa in the jungle of Payangan and it immediately captured my heart and began my love affair with Bali.
Villa Wastra has 'taksu' a balinese word that means soul or enlivened with spirit. The owners, Bob & Mariah, have created an architectural delight. Their vision created a beautiful property that is set up high on the edge of the jungle,...
