Bali – Yoga & Health

The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind & the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.” ~ B.K.S. Iyengar

Bali is a haven for many travelers as well as yogis. If you are seeking a place to practice and be surrounding in absolute peace, serenity, and focus I urge you to plan a trip to Ubud. There are countless yoga studios and timetables to pick up a class here and there and for me- I fell in love with the Yoga Barn and Radiantly Alive.

I felt as if I had stepped into a bubble of clarity, personal growth, and surrender to my practice. The sanctuaries that both the Yoga Barn and Radiantly Alive have created are truly remarkable and help to basically give a major reset to each person who steps on the mat. The classes are dynamic and filled with Teachers who powerfully lead you through class with incredible knowledge and a deep passion for yoga. My husband and I started each day in Ubud with a yoga class followed by organic-luscious food at the adjacent cafes. It was like a little yoga-health dream for us!

Rolling out our mats each day we remembered to *Breathe* and have gratitude for our strength of body, mind, and soul. It felt as if I had changed lenses on my camera and life just came into focus. Feeling the wind blow through my hair and across my face as I was moving through asanas allowed for me to regain my equilibrium and feel so present in my life. I turned my head to my husband and felt immense gratitude that he was right by my side on the mat and pushing through his own physical challenges and moving to a better place in his body. Wow! We each felt incredible with our daily yoga and completely present in life.

The Little K ‘cafe’ that is part of the Yoga Barn is the perfect retreat after a powerful class. Let the wind blow across your face and continue to carry you off the mat and into your day. We were like kids in a candy store as it is filled with high vibe plant-based organic goodness! Bring on the coconut water, wheat grass, green juices, banana cacao-maca smoothies, ridiculous salads, mouth watering kitchari & dahl, fresh soups, and countless other options. All of the organic veggies are grown adjacent to the Yoga Barn on property so they can’t get any fresher than that! If you are practicing at Radiantly Alive definitely scoot across the street and plop your mat beside you as rehydrate and fill up with food goodness at Bali Buddha. The sensational food available is the perfect compliment to yoga classes to give your body a major detox and fill it with nutrient dense super foods to ‘jump start’ your body. I have not felt so healthy, vibrant, and alive in ages.

Whether you are looking to take a yoga class, energize your body with healthy goodness, or deepen your practice with Yoga Teacher Trainings, I urge you to give space for yourself on your next holiday to Bali and take a yoga class!
